Recently, a significant exchange platform opened in Jeon-ju. The "Food-Tech 42 Alliance Networking Day" was held to promote collaboration between food tech companies and institutions and to foster K-Food Tech's global leadership. Food-Tech combines food and technology, representing an emerging industry integrating innovative technologies such as IT, BT, AI, IoT, 3D printing, and robotics into food production, distribution, and consumption processes.The domestic Food-Tech market is expected to expand from 61 trillion won in 2020 to 140 trillion won by 2040. In line with this, Jeollabuk-do Province and the Jeollabuk-do Bio-Convergence Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee Eun-mi, hereinafter referred to as the Bio-Convergence Agency) are ramping up efforts to build a future food innovation ecosystem through Food-Tech, which has garnered attention as a sustainable future technology addressing environmental and population issues.
